Golf Courses Arran
The Isle of Arran lies only 11 miles by sea from the Ayrshire golf coast which is home to some famous names in the golf course world. Arran on the other hand may not have hosted the Open Championship, but rest assured, the 7 golf courses on the island will make you feel like you are playing in it.
The Isle of Arran is home to three 18 hole golf courses, one 12 hole course, and three 9 hole courses. All offering a different challenge, but equally enjoyable.

Lamlash Bay Golf Club is really a long course in yardage terms but it offers a serious challenge for golfers of all abilities. There are many long Par 3's, including two over 220 yds. In addition Lamlash offers many tricky Par 4 holes where an off-centre tee shot will more than likely never be seen again. The course offers some spectacular views overlooking the Clyde Estuary and the Ayrshire coast, including famous courses such as Royal Troon & Turnberry. |

Brodick Golf Club |
|
Brodick Golf Club parkland and links course is entirely at sea level, making it accessible for golfers of all ages and standards. From its opening hole, the longest Par 4 on the course, to its three tough cross-water Par 3s, a tricky dogleg Par 5, and deceptive Par 4s at the turn. It presents challenges and obstacles which are great to take on -- and hopefully conquer! |

Other golf courses on the island are Lochranza Golf Club, Whiting Bay Golf Club, Machrie Golf Course, Corrie Golf Course and Shishkine Golf Club.
Corporate Golf
For the size of the island, there are seven golf courses on Arran, and all offering great views but different challenges although they are all fun to play. There are three 18 hole courses, one twelve (yes 12) hole course and three 9 hole courses. All the courses were established in the late 1800's but one is a fairly recent addition in 1988. The courses are not huge in length which gives it their appeal, but don't be complacent, you wont shoot too many sub-pars here!! |
